Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Lega Movies (“we”, “us”, “our”, the “App”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our iOS application. By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

• My List: Movies and shows you save are stored locally on your device.
• App preferences: Region, language, and an optional Gemini API key you may enter in Settings.
• AI Hub messages: Text you type into the Cinematic AI chat is sent to the AI provider to generate a response.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device & system information: iOS version, device model, language, and crash diagnostics that Apple may share with us through standard developer reports.
• Usage information: Aggregate, non-identifying interactions (taps, screens viewed) used to improve the App.

1.3 Subscription & Payment Information

All purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment card, billing address, or Apple ID. We only receive a transaction receipt confirming an active subscription.

2. How We Use Information

• Provide, operate, and maintain the App and its features.
• Personalize recommendations (e.g. Cinematic AI suggestions and the Roulette wheel).
• Verify subscription status and unlock premium features (AI Hub, My Pick).
• Improve performance, fix bugs, and develop new features.
• Comply with legal obligations.

3. Third-Party Services

The App relies on the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy.

• The Movie Database (TMDB) — provides movie/TV metadata, posters, trailers, and watch-provider data. TMDB Privacy
• Google Gemini API — processes your AI Hub messages to generate recommendations. Google Privacy
• Apple App Store / StoreKit — handles purchases, subscriptions, and receipt validation. Apple Privacy

4. Data Storage & Retention

• My List, region, language, and the Gemini API key are stored only on your device via iOS UserDefaults.
• We do not operate our own servers that store your personal data. Removing the App removes all locally stored data.

5. Children’s Privacy

Lega Movies is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

6. Your Choices & Rights

• Clear data: Settings → Data → “Clear My List” removes all saved content.
• Cancel subscription: Manage in iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, or Settings → Lega Pro inside the App.
• Access / deletion: Because data lives on your device, uninstalling the App deletes it.
• EU/UK (GDPR), California (CCPA): You have rights of access, rectification, deletion, restriction, portability, and objection. Contact us to exercise them.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards (HTTPS, on-device storage, App Sandbox). No transmission over the Internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International Transfers

Data sent to TMDB, Google, and Apple may be processed in the United States or other countries. Those providers offer appropriate safeguards under their respective frameworks.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will reflect the most recent version. Material changes will be highlighted in the App.
